In reply to Mary Furlong. I work to make my recipes as easy and accessible for everyone, especially those new to a vegan diet. You could certainly use dried chickpeas without an issue, but that would turn other people who come here for easy recipes away. Feel free to make that substitution on your own though!

This recipe looks lovely but you lost me at canned chickpeas. If you're going to the trouble of making your own hummus why not prepare your chickpeas from scratch too? It does add an extra step but it's so much healthier and in my opinion tastier too
